Does not remove title, but prints Untitled

Got it. Untitled was coming from my theme.

It works, but it only makes the title value blank, due to which if you have your title surrounded in heading tags or anything else which has some css in them (Border-color in my case), it will be printed.

In my site it was printing a blank line with border.

I made it work.
