    I have been attempting to get Kates Sideblog plugin to work correctly on my back up/test blog, ncdevil.com/pc. So far, no dice. All I get in the sidebar is “Aside category not selected”

    I have the code as supplied in the document as sideblog(‘asides’);

    I just cannot get it to work. I can’t use widgets, since I have have multiple themes on my main site, and use theme switcher.

    Any ideas?

    Did you follow the plugin installation directions?

    You need to change the “asides” in the php call to the name of the category you chose. For example, if, instead of the category “asides” your aside posts are posted under the category “news,” then you would change the php call to:

    sideblog(‘news’)

    If your category name is two words, use a dash to join them in naming the category in the php call.
