WP4 kills media_buttons functionality

  • I have a plugin that adds a shortcode button to the visual editor. It worked in all versions until version 4.0, and now it’s gone. WTH? the last changes in Tiny MCE screwed up shortcode windows, and now media buttons are gone. Is there new functionality for adding media buttons to the editor?

    Update – WordPress is setting my buttons to “display:none”! Is there any way to remove this functionality?
