• Hey,

very helpful plugin. Unfortunately, if I wanna query around 60 posts and show 5 ACF-fields in each post and it tooks more than 10s to load the page. I’ve already eleminate all other possible causes. If I run the same query without loading any fields it tooks just 2s. I guess ACF creates a query for every field.

So my question is, how can I improve the speed by not decreasing the number of fields I wanna show?

    Thanks for help ??

  • I’m having the same issues…

I use ACF for a repeater field, and in every row there are 2 images. I use these rows for Flexslider slides with lazyloading and with 12 rows in total it takes about 12 seconds to load the page.

However, if I use a cache plugin (W3 Total Cache) and turn on the page, database, object & browser cache it significantly decreases the loading time to about 1 or 2 seconds. The only problem is that logged in users (the client filling the website) won’t benefit from this decrease until they log out…

    Hey,

it’s good to know that w3 just benifits not-logged users^^ I tried it aswell and was wundering why nothing happend.

Lazyload dosn’t help if the server needs 10s to answer…

The problem was solved for us after we had updated our server. If that isn’t an option for you, try WP Super Cache. It saves your pages as html. Unfotunately, if you update sth. you need to clear the chache…
But maybe you’ll find a way to handle it.

Thanks, but W3 Total Cache does exactly the same, so I’m good for now ??
