Is there a way to see plugin version numbers being compared to WP websites?

    Is there a way to see which version of Calculated Fields Form Wordfence is using to compare to the same plugin on my website? Wordfence found some code differences and I suspect it is because I have a newer version installed on my website than the version housed on your servers. At least, I hope that is the reason.

    Further explanation if needed:

    My website got hacked. I updated WordPress, all themes and plugins to the latest versions. I installed Wordfence and had it scan WordPress core files, themes, and plugins. The Calculated Fields Form plugin had several “problems”. I looked at the first “problem” and it was a minor change that looked legitimate. The second “problem” was more complicated and beyond my ability to understand right now. Since I have several more “problems” to look at, I’m just wondering if the Wordfence servers have not be updated with the latest version of Calculated Fields Form yet. I’m currently running Calculated Fields Form version 1.0.1.

    Can you us the show differences button and take screenshots of what changed so we can look? This will help us figure out if its a hacked file or if this is more of what happens sometimes. A developer may choose to change a readme file to say that his plugin supports up to wordpress 4.0 in the repository instead of changing it as part of a update. SO the plugin on your system shows it doesn’t need to be updated when a change was actually made. Mark tells me we actually have all versions of plugins and themes and WP core, so when a developer does that it causes the problem you are having.

    Post the screenshots and we’ll take a look.

    Thank you for offering to look at screenshots. I have created a PDF Portfolio file that contains the PDF documents containing each of the code comparisons. When you click on the link I have provided, you will be taken to a Screencast.com folder containing a link to download the PDF Portfolio file. When you get to the folder, please look for the phrase, “Unable to embed this content type. Download this media.” Please click on the phrase, “Download this media.”

    I asked the dev team to look. They didn’t notice anything that looked screwy. I looked at the first one and then did a comparison with what’s in the wordpress repository and if you are missing something, at least on the first problem, it’s on your server. Our version matches with what’s in the wordpress repository (verified with his subversion repo there).

    Can you try completely removing the plugin and reinstalling it? It should maintain settings stored in the database but you may want to backup just in case.

    Hey…great news. I deactivated the Calculated Fields Form plugin, deleted it completely and reinstalled it as you suggested. I restarted the Wordfence scan. There were no problems to report by Wordfence. Reinstalling the plugin solved all the reported problems. Thank you so much for your time and effort. I will mark this thread as resolved and provide a great rating.
