• Hi,

I read about this on your website. I do not have a large WordPress site. My host increased the memory twice. I am curious because I have used your plugin for a long time. I do not know what triggered this.

    Edit Post will not load:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 131023 bytes) in /home/u7913125/public_html/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4175

Maybe WordFence Security plugin? – I deactivated it but it made no difference. Only by deactivating RSS Multi Importer was the issue resolved.

Your thoughts as to why this would suddenly happen?

    Thank you

what other plugins are you running on your site? Also, when you say Edit Post, do you mean editing a wordpress post that is unrelated to a post added by my plugin?

I has contacted WordFence Support as well.

    Not your issue, just FYI:
I use RSS Multi Importer heavily on my other, second, site. I have discovered that on my second site, on an MU install, all content is gone. Menus, pages, posts. It is WP install with plugins and a theme only.

    Hi,

I mean editing a regular WP post. Not one imported from your plugin.

And I think WordFence is part of this. I had just installed it yesterday. I did nothing more than activate WordFence – no scans or setting changes. I have had your plugin forever, on several sites.

At this point – I don’t know anything. I am waiting on WordFence support. I just wanted you to be in the loop in case you had some thoughts/experience and if someone else has a problem.

on the site where you said the content was gone, etc…were you running my plugin? if so, did you do anything in the plugin (or downloaded a new version) or anything that could mean my plugin had any role in this? thanks.

    tools4toni,

Are you using the Auto Post function of the plugin? Do you have anything set to auto delete? If so, can you either write out or post a screenshot of those settings groups so we can try to recreate?

    Thanks!

    Okay.
On second – content missing site:
    A). Answers
1). I was using the plugin for the entire site – on the site that lost content. But I think it was a conflict with WordFence changes that caused the problems.

2). I did have AutoImport going, with no deleting – I was importing from my own blog. Hardly any posting activity.

3). I had RSS Multi Import working for weeks on this site.

4). I think you will also need to install WordFence to recreate.

I will get you the info – screenshots, etc.

B). I just activated your plugin on same content-missing site.

1). I got this on the Home Admin screen:

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/u7913125/public_html/wp/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 569

2). The Categories are present. The Feed List/Sources is empty. The Feeds are gone.

Also: On the primary site of my MU install

The only issue is that now, since WordFence I am sure, when your plugin active I cannot Edit Posts. I cannot Edit Pages.

Edit Post Admin will not load for any post:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 131023 bytes) in /home/u7913125/public_html/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4175

    (my host added memory twice.)

    Everything else is fine.

I use your plugin on the Home page to import RSS.
I use your plugin in the entire What’s New section, each page and sub-page. https://toni-two.com/wp/whats-new
    I do not AutoPost.

    All that stuff works.

    (@tools4toni)

To be clear: There are 2 sites on one MU install.

Primary Site has memory error on these edit screens: page and post.
Rest of site, admin and plugin RSS feeds are working.

Sub-site lost site content, including plugin Feed Source List and the Feeds.

    Thank you

How do I upload screen shots?

    Thread Starter Toni

    (@tools4toni)

Bad News: on Primary Site that was okay…
The What’s New section loaded this error, but wait…now seems okay:

Warning: require(/home/u7913125/public_html/wp/wp-includes/functions.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/u7913125/public_html/wp/wp-settings.php on line 72

Did that solve your memory problem?

    Thread Starter Toni

    (@tools4toni)

The problems were solved by eliminating/renaming the plugin folder and creating a new one. My host said that the plugin folder was damaged.

Now it is 100% clear that your plugin is causing problems on my site….

I cannot Edit – the screens won’t load for edit pages or posts.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 131023 bytes) in /home/u7913125/public_html/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4318

    Let me understand…..have you

    a) solved the problem (meaning you can now edit pages and posts) after eliminating and renaming the plugin folder,

    or

    b) after doing all of that – meaning now you know the plugin folder isn’t damaged, etc and after increasing memory that you still have the problem of not being able to edit pages and posts.
