    Hello Sohinc,
Custom fields won’t help you much unless your locations have not only address but also latitude and longitude which make the search possible. If you product do have coords I might be able to help you with the import otherwise you will need to update each product manually in order for the address to be geocoded.

Thanks a lot for your reply… Yes i do have coordinates( lat and long) for each product i am trying to upload by csv so please do help me with the custom fields to make it easy as right now i have to do double the work by having to download my database modify it and then upload it so dropping this in custom fields would help a lot. thanks

I am now working on Locations importer from custom fields into GEO my WP table. It will be part of the new version of GEO my WP and I should have a first beta ready very soon. I was trying to release it today but probably will be ready by Sunday.
So if you want I will let you know when its ready and you could test it.

Do you import your product from CSV into WordPress posts?

yes i import csv into wordpress and yes it will be very helpful if this was added… will it be added as a separate plugin? or will it be part of geomywp main plugin? I did figure out database way of adding products so thats working now so hopefully this locations importer will be easier. thanks

It is part of Geo my WP’s new tools page.

The feature is ready and I am now wrapping up the first beta of the new version. I will send an email in few hours or so. If you’d like to test the beta you can subscribe on the home page of GEO my WP at the bottom.

Hi Eyal, thank you for making this awesome plugin.

I am using the GEO my WP plugin and am trying to import address and/or lat&long coordinates for each of my products using Woo Commerce Product CSV Import https://docs.woothemes.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/woocommerce-extensions/product-csv-import-suite/.

The column header reference can be found here https://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-csv-import-suite-column-header-reference/ and under section 5 Creating New Columns, there are available custom fields. I believe this is what sohinc was trying to do…import a spreadsheet of products with address and/or lat&long coordinates attached to each so that he/she didn’t have to go into the db or backend and manually input them.

I see the the geo my wp importer under the tools section but do not know how to accomplish this task with your importer. How would I be able to do this? Currently I would have to add an address manually in the product edit settings for each product. I want to use your fix to be able to import this using Woo Commerce Product CSV Import.

Hi Eyal, are you able to direct me to anything so that I can get this setup?

    Hello Eyal:

    Great product ??
The CSV importer we are discussing here, will it be able to import other X-Profile fields as well ? I’ll probably want to use X-Profile addon as well will it work with that. For now have you tried or anyone you know have tried this.
