• Hi guys,
I am today (31-08-2014)trying out the latest version of the POS software.
I just noticed that POS doesn’t stop, when stock are at zero.

Meaning that it overrides the woocommerce. In woocommerce the online shop is set to not allow backorders. By other words: No negative stock.

But the POS doen’t even look stock up or notifies about the risk of it.
Imagine I am running my online shop and physical shop.

A customer pays and buys the last 2 items I have. Also done via online shop. At this stage: system (WP/woocommerce) stock on item is zero and no more of the same item can be sold online.

Before I manage to get the info and take those items and put them away, a customer comes into my physical shop and sees the items.
He takes it to me and I use the POS to sell the product and to keep the shop and online shop up to date.

NOW, the POS system does not check and do not see that the stock level is ZERO!!!

It needs to be fixed asap, I think, since no stock control: no stock synchronization. The whole idea with this POS system is to keep both systems synced.

    This is NOT happening now….

    Hi Minoltian,

I understand your concern. In the very near future I plan to add user settings which will allow users to hide out-of-stock items.

At the moment the POS sync’s stock levels after each sale and you can do a manual sync anytime. I have left the display of negative products on purpose because I don’t want to get in the way of a cashier making the sale. For example, the cashier might have a delivery of new stock which has not been entered into WooCommerce yet. In this case the cashier would have the stock in their hand but not be able to make the sale because to product is ‘out of stock’ online.

Stay tuned for future releases. Over time I will fill in settings giving users control over how the POS is displayed.

    Kind Regards,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Thanks for the response!
Well, I understand your point of view.
Anyhow, the fact that I can’t have the stock go negative is a reality that i need to deal with.
Could you somehow tell, where in the code needs to be changed to stop the negative inventory?
So me and others in meantime can work with the POS system, instead of changing to a different system.

    Thanks in advance
    Maziar
