• On my site I have a lot of articles. This number grows weekly.
I want readers to be able to buy the PDF version of the article.
For payments processing I use PayPal.
I know how to create a button where the reader can fill in a certain amount. What I do NOT want is to create a button for each and every article. I did read about the [s2file /] shortcut but I have no clue how to do this. Can I add extra parameters to the PayPal code and use that to redirect buyers after a succesful payment?

    Any hint is gratefully accepted

  • Honestly, I doubt that s2member is the best way to handle these purchases. You really need a shopping cart designed for the purpose, like Easy Digital Downloads.

Yeah EDD + EDD’s Custom Prices extension sounds exactly like what you are looking for

I know how to code such a button, so that is not the issue, even more so, I already told I can code that button myself. What is the issue though is that when a buyer did send money through PayPal I want to be able to redirect them to the correct page, eventually with a parameter that holds the code. Another option is of course to use sites like Amazon or Nanacast. BUt I’d rather not do that.

@boudewijnl: I know, I did such hacks already. Not so easy, but works.
