• I just published my first Word Press website, and, due to inexperience, I am having 3 problems. First. my legal notice appears first instead of my home page when logging on to my website. Second, the home page is still titled sample page. Third, both pages appear together in the same window.

    I need to make the home page appear at the top when logging on to my site. In order to do this I am willing to retype the entire pages. I also need to retitle the page marked sample page to read home page. I would also like for the legal notice page and all subsequently added pages to open in a new window. It is okay for the bar at the top to be the only was of getting to these pages.

    Could someone please help me? My URL is puttingfoodby.info.

  • 1. To change the title of your Sample page to Home Page.
    In your dashboard go to the “Pages”. It will give you a list of pages. Click on edit the Sample page, you will see here the option to change the title.

    2. To make the home page as your landing or front page.
    In your dashboard
    a. goto setting-> Reading.
    b. Choose the Static option.
    c. Then select Home page as your “Front Page”.

    Don’t forget to Save Changes.
