My links get stripped out in the post view and in order to view them you need to click on the read more. Is there a way to keep links in there, so someone can just click on that without having to read the post?

I’m not quite sure I follow. Can you show me an example of what you mean?

https://www.cleanfits.com So when you visit the site you see all the available post. Some of those posts have text links, but you aren’t able to see the links and click on them until you click the “Click for More Details” button.

Is there a way I could have these links be present, so the user could see them without having to click on the “Click for More Details” button?

    OK, I’m with you now.

It is default behaviour for excerpts to be stripped of HTML, hence the lack of links. There’s not a whole lot that can be done about it.

What you can do is create a manual excerpt for the posts in question, if it isn’t too much work. So, from the editor (text tab) you can just copy the amount of HTML you want to show and paste it in the excerpt box. That way, nothing will get stripped.

To get the excerpt box to display you may have to tick ‘Excerpt’ under Screen Options on the edit post page.

Awesome that worked great. Really appreciate the help and the template!

No problem. I’ll mark this thread as resolved.
