can't move my wordpress to a root manually(godaddy)

    hi guys, noob here

    i want to launch and go move up to the root manually(i didn’t click on the wordpress button from godaddy cpanel). i made wordpress old fashion way

    so this is what i did

    1. go to settings and drop ‘web’
    2. move entire folder to the root

    but somehow it doesn’t work…

    what am i doing wrong? i do this all the time with my other website, but it seems like i can’t do that with godaddy.

    what is the best way to move up?
