Diplay custom page post types in homepage and generally

  • In my wordpress web site I will have 3 posttypes. I want all of them to displayed as regular posts for example in home page.

    Where should I alter the main query in this theme?

    the following code does not work properly.
    query_posts(array(‘post_type’=> array(‘post’, ‘pool-item’)));

    when I say “weird” I mean that

    without the above code and when I diplay only regular posts, the latest post is displayed on the top and below that 2 column with other posts with smalled photos

    with the above code, after regular posts it will deplay the ‘pool-item’ posts but with large photos and without 2 columns
