Link ordering not working

    I have a site where I’m using Simple Links to put out a daily roundup of news articles in a few categories. I want new links to show up at the top of the list and old ones to drop off (the widget is set to only show 5). The settings I have are:

    Order links by: Link Order
    Order: Descending
    Category: Top Stories

    Despite this, it shows the same 5 each time. I also changed the order to ascending to see what happens, and it doesn’t impact the output at all. It’s always the same links that are in the list and they are always in the same order. Any idea what might be going on?

    Hello,
    Link order only only affects the list of links if it has been ordered manually otherwise links are order 0 and will show up the same links first.

    Sounds like what you are looking for is order by date with coincidentally came out in the last version.

    Give that a try and let me know if it does not work.
