• I’m an artist that licenses clip art and scrapbook downloadables with a company and have my own blog attached to that company’s site. I would like to upload some small give away items to draw people to the blog and the company’s web site.

Does anyone have instructions on how to do that? They would be either jpeg or png files.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Maybe create a Page and put the download links there?
The way it’s “supposed” to work is CHMOD 777 the

    /wp-content

folder . Upload files using the upload function. A folder “uploads” will be created inside the

    /wp-content

folder and your file uploaded to it.
After that CHMOD 755 is supposed to work.

I think you can just upload your files using the upload option that you get when you create a new post. When you want to create a new post, you get an option to also upload any files in WordPress 2. You can give your file a name and title, also add some description.

Generally the file is uploaded in some folder like this:
https://yourdomainname.com/uploads/2007/02/filename.ext. Here, 02 is the month, 2007 is the year. You can provide your visitors with a link to download the file.
