Adding borders around posts

    I would like to add some borders to my posts (like this screen shot below)

    I have tried numerous code snippets on the forums but nothing changes for me.

    My website is 50thirdand3rd.com and I am using a twenty fourteen child theme.

    I am using the plugin “WP Image Borders” and even though it is not exactly what I wanted, it will do the trick.
