What does "launch WordPress" do?

  • I’m using Fatcow and trying to help a friend update her website. When I sign into Fatcow I get a screen on their dashboard that shows the actual website address and has a blue “Launch WordPress” next to it and there’s also a Sandbox. I want to work in the sandbox so I don’t disturb the active website, but do I need to hit Launch WordPress first? Or will that overwrite the active website with the wordpress template?

    Don’t make fun of me! I’ve never done this before. Obviously!

  • The best way to get help on this issue is to contact FatCow. They have 24 hour support. Unless you get lucky and one of the volunteers in this forum use Fatcow.
