• Hi – can anyone help please….
My problem is that the page title I use on my home page is showing up in Duplicate when someone types our chosen keywords:

    the url is: https://colourofsound.org

This is what is shown when i type ‘colour of sound’ in google:

    About 143,000,000 results (0.33 seconds)
    Search Results

    | Sound Healing Therapy: Courses & ResourcesSound …

I would like to clean this up by removing the duplicate words and also ideally the line at the beginning. I don’t seem to have any control of this through wordpress front end or the plugins or theme (2014) that I’m using…..

    Thank you

    Tony

  • This popular SEO plugin allows you to do a ton of cool SEO related stuff, including seeing the preview of what a Google search will show and allow you to adjust your page titles very easily.

Thanks Craig I installed Yoast a few days ago, and that’s when the problem happened… I can’t see where to adjust the title for the home page other than on the page itself, which is not showing the duplicate…. any suggestions would be welcomed

Ah, I see. If it is only happening on your homepage – You can try going to SEO -> Titles & Metas -> Home and removing the title template it is adding.

Alternatively, you can go to the General tab and check on “Force Rewrite Titles” and all of your titles will become what they are set to be in the Yoast plugin.

You can also try posting your question over at the plugins support area:
