• I just updated to WP 3.9.2 and the theme layout suddenly broke.

    https://cardrabbit.com is the site.

And as you can see the posts are now over the sidebar (on the right).

What I’ve noticed is that when resizing the site (CTRL+mousewheel) the post blocks “fly” to rearrange according to new site width.

I’m guessing whatever function this “flying” is, could be the rootcause of the problem.

Does anyone know what it is and how to disable it?

Have you talked to your theme’s vendors about this issue?

I customized the theme alot. It didn’t have a sidebar before, so they can’t help.

Plus it was a free theme.

I guess I’ll just have to change my theme to work differently than it does right now.

Make sure you are using a child theme first. The child theme mechanism is there to save you from this exact problem.

    So Restore your base theme.
Create your theme as a child of it.
Now customise your child theme. Do you have backups ? Does your hosting provider have backups ? Do you have notes of what you changed ?

NOW if/when the theme gets updated, your child theme changes go not get wiped.

The theme wasn’t updated. WordPress was updated. Even if it was completely original theme by me, I would still have gotten this problem.

Anyway… I changed the theme so it’s not broken anymore.

But I still find this javascript or whatever “flying post” animation annoying and broken. So if someone could tell me how to turn it off I would very much appreciate it.
