change the display of the date and time

I was wondering if it is possible to add characters in the date and time view.

right now it just displays as ’25-8-14 01:33 pm’ but i would like to add <b> tafs or ( and ).

if i put ‘()’ in the time field in the settings I can not set the time anymore.

Is there any way I can alter this?
