Publicize generates both full url and bitly

Hey there! LOVE the plugin. Easy peasy to set up.
I have a snafoo. In Publicize (we only use it for Twitter) it shows the full url. I presumed, incorrectly, the bitly would replace it when it was pub’d. Instead, both urls tweet out: full url and the bitly. I just really wanted the bitly to go out.
I haven’t ever used WP’s link shortener (WP.me or something like that.)
By any chance have you come across this before or have suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this? Thanks!
