    Greetings:

Love the Chocolat theme! Thank you!

Today, I added several widgets to the sidebar at rebannford.com. As you can see, the “Recent Posts” widget is not displaying correctly. I deleted the widget with the intention of re-adding it to see if that would fix the problem. I also cleared my browser cache. When I deleted the widget, however, the very same problem began happening in the same spot, only with the next widget in line (i.e. the Facebook widget). Since then, I have re-added the “Recent Posts” widget, and have come to look for some help. Do you have any ideas about what might be causing the problem? Thank you for your consideration.

  • Hi, sorry for reply late.

    I saw your Web site.
Thank you for using theme “Chocolat”.

Do you customize the theme “Chocolat” ?
Returns to a default theme “Chocolat” and check whether it is displayed correctly.

Please tell us in detail if it is you have customized.

    Thank you for your reply!

I have not customized the theme at all. I’ve just been using it in its original form. As you can see, I still haven’t figured out how to make the problem go away.

Are you using the Wysija Newsletters Plugin for widget?
Please check what happens is displayed when not using the plugin.

Try to check the display by adding widgets one by one.
I also try to determine the cause of the problem.

I deactivated all plugins, and even deleted the Mailpoets Newsletter (Wysija Newsletter) plugin, and that had no effect.

I then switched the order of the “current projects,” and “recent posts” widgets, and that solves the problem; if I switch the order back to the way it was, the problem returns. The “current projects” widget is just a text widget; I guess it just doesn’t like it when I switch the order of the widgets?

I like the design of your theme. I’ll just be careful about how I order the widgets. Thank you.

    Hi Rebecca,

I think that it is missing “/a” tags in the text of the text widget of “Current Projects” cause.
Please replace it with the following code the text widget of “Current Projects”.

<p>Click on the links below to see some of the other projects I am currently working on:</p>
    <p><b><a href = "www.catholicsocialservice.org">Catholic Social Service</a><br />
    <a href = "www.artisansoaps.org">Artisan Soaps</a><br />
    <a href = "https://www.unbound.org/MyOutreach/rebannford">Unbound</a><br />
    <a href = "https://www.the3day.org/rebannford">Susan G Komen 3-Day</a></b></p>

Please check the display by switching the order of the widget “Recent Posts” and “current project”.

That was it. I need to be more careful next time. Thank you!
