WordPress Permalink issue

  • For some reason my permalink has been defaulting to a random name of a previous post with random numbers following it.

    It started out of the blue and I can’t seem to fix it.

    Also my SEO by Youst has been acting up as well. I’m sure they’re connected somehow.

  • Have you tried just refreshing the permalinks? Settings -> Permalinks, set them to default, save, then set them to what you want and save again.

    Yeah. I’ve tried that.

    I still see the previous posts name in the slug in my post page.

    What do you mean when you say Yoast is “acting up”? Does deactivating the plugin and then refreshing your permalinks solve the issue?
