Remove social share buttons

Hi everyone – I want to install a new plugin that will show a floating social media bar on my posts. There are currently social media share buttons at the top of my posts, but I cannot seem to remove them – there are no active plugins so it is likely built-in my theme. I deleted some of the code from the single.php – it worked, but it also messed up the format of the actual posts so I pasted back the old code.
Any feed-back on how I can remove these social media buttons from my posts?
