Permalinks Not Working

    I am trying to change from the default permalink settings to the post name. However when I do this every link I have breaks.

    My htaccess file is set to the correct permissions and when I save the new settings it says “Permalink structure updated.”

    Is there a way to fix my problem??

    I fixed the problem. My site was in a subdirectory and the .htaccess file was inheriting properties from another one in a higher directory.

    I just added RewriteEngine On to the file and it worked!
