Using custom theme post options

I’m using the Novomag theme which has a number of custom post options such as wether or not a post shows up in the breaking news slider, etc. When creating a custom post type (eg:”News”) with WCK, none of these theme options are available. How would I go about enabling the full range of post fields that the default post type uses, in a custom post type?
