Ads in Diff. Cats – How to define a general, blanket ad?

  • So i followed the instructions on the FAQ page for “I want a different advert for each category. How can I do this?”

    It works great, but I am just wondering how I can set a general ad for when there is not one set for a category.

    * Show a default advert if no text file exists. * expansion idea.

    I am not that great with php, but it seems like I could make a simple declaration in the end of that string to pull /ad-injection-ads/general.txt if there is no category file.

  • You can try to load the PHP code directly into your template (you have to modify the theme, so you should make a child theme for the modification.

    Look for “Template Ad Examples” at the bottom of the Ad Injection SETTINGS page.
