Videos & post images

When I downloaded & tested the theme, I noticed a couple of things:

1. All of the videos I have embedded are no longer there. The video thumbnails are featured above the post, but the actual videos are no longer there. Do you know of a plugin that would allow embedded video to remain. The embed code is not in the same area where I type text but in a section below it in the editor.

2. Every single post has the name & tagline of the web site splattered across it. Is there a way to get rid of this. It would be nice to be able to see the images.
