Possible to open in lightbox or use ajax?

Love the plugin except that it refreshes the current page when someone tries to RSVP. I’ve got the plugin on the home page of a site and I’d like it to either update live with ajax (no refresh) or open in a lightbox of some kind. Another option would be to have the user redirected to an interior page on the site to complete the RSVP. Any thoughts? I have no idea how to handle php or js so I’m at a loss for getting this figured out. Any help is greatly appreciated!
