New photo blog from Japan

  • Started casual photography blog, it’s useful and gives me some motivation. After all, photos meant to be watched by someone ?? When i started was quite obsessed with gear and pixels, but what matters is composition and subject.

    Blog sure is going to help me work on my basics ??

    I was searching for responsive and simple one column theme. Once i learn enough about WP think i can manage to create my own template, want something even more simpler. Goal is most convenient way to view photos, light boxes, galleries etc make it more cluttered and add unnecessary clicks.

    When I clicked it, it went to the .jpg file itself. For some reason I don’t like that.

    The theme is perfect for your site topic/genre/etc…

    Ever thought to link the photos to a page so people can order a copy?

    Do you optimize the photos for web usage? you don’t really need photos to be 1200 x 689 if you are just showing them.

    First photos after moving to Japan, I like it.

    CHANGE USERNAME. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE ADMIN.

    Go to users, create a new username, give that new username administrator role, log out of admin, log in with the new username, go to users, delete admin, then it will ask you to either delete admin posts or associate them with another user, choose second one and pick your new username. voila.

    Thank you, i was thinking about trying to sell photos, but latter. My skills aren’t that good yet and need more decent photos to start. Now though i have motivation to keep going out and searching for opportunities as much as possible, blog helps here too. Want to keep posting new photos, so it will be worth returning.

    At least i can add banner to my tea shop, helps little bit.

    I’m still getting used to wordpress and i agree, that link to file itself is not good. One of things i want to change when i can.

    File size i’m not sure yet, might indeed return back to 1000px for web posting. This way can easily add second column for widgets.

    Username is not admin, i changed it right away.
