    Hi,
I installed your plugin because our site is being brute force hacked attempts.
I was part way through the set-up and I lost ‘access’ with ‘Page Not Found’ being shown. I used the back button, which took me back to the WP dashboard but every time I click on ‘anything’ I always get ‘Page Not Found’.
I followed you procedure for de-activating the plug-in via phpMyAdmin, which enabled me to get back in at least.
Everytime I tried to activate your plugin, I got locked out. So I de-activated again and un-installed your plugin and re-installed it but the same things keeps happening over and over!
I also put back my .htaccess and wp-config files from back-up using FTP but I still can’t get it working.
Could anybody please help? Site is xlogic-relay.co.uk
Version of your plug-in is v.3.7.7
    Thanks

    Hi mbrsolution,

Thanks for the response and link. None of them really helped!
I had backed up the site prior to installing your plug-in, so I just re-installed the back-up after disabling your plug-in.

I re-installed your plugin and only set up basic, intermediate and a couple of advanced options.
The problem with Page Not Found has gone but unfortunately the person trying to hack our site continues to do so every minute or so!
They are using different IP’s so probably using a TOR derivative of some sorts.
We have a fixed IP address, so I tried the white list option but still the hacker/s keep trying!
I even set-up a new log-in page but to no avail!!!!

I will just have to hope they run out of IP addresses to attack from! But that is highly unlikely.
I can’t use the Cookie Based Brute Force Login Protection because the site fails the Perform Cookie Test button!
Currently at 1,547 locked IP addresses in the last day. At least they’re blocked until the year 3915!!!!

Hi sduk sorry to hear about your issue. I know one does not feel good when someone keeps trying to hack your site. Have you investigated who owns the IP address? Have you used the WHOIS Lookup option within the plugin?

Have you tested your site at sucuri.net?

Have you also informed your Host to see if they might be able to assist you further?

Let me know if you need more help.

    Kind regards

    Hi mbrsolution,

I haven’t used the WHOIS because the IP address used changes every time and at last count, 2,500 IP addresses would take too long to check them all!
Thankfully, whomever it was has decided to give up for now.
    Thanks for your assistance.
