• When I log in to the dashboard to make changes to my website I get the normal looking selection of links down the left side margin but the whole desktop is a blank white page.

If I click on one of the links on the left the address field in the top of the browser window seems to load as if a new page is opening, but the dashboard stays white.

I have found several other threads on a similar topic and the advice seems to be reseting plugins or themes. I logged in to my host site and used the file manager to do this with no success.

Through all this the website seems to be functioning fine, but I cannot add any new content.

I would greatly appreciate any advice. I am not sure what version of WP I am using, but I think I updated it last fall. I have definitely been able to access the dashboard since then, but it has been a few months since I have tried. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who is willing to help.

Can you tell us a little more about what you mean by “I logged in to my host site and used the file manager to do this with no success.”? Did you try disabling all of your plugins by (for example) renaming all of their sub-directories? Whenever I’ve had this problem, it’s always been due to a plugin conflict. Once you disable all of your plugins, you can change their names back via FTP, then re-enable them one by one to see which one makes your site go blank.

I am having a similar problem, but most of the options show a blank page – not just Dashboard but Pages and Plugins.

    Events works just fine.

I edit another website, and WordPress works fine on that one.
