Why isn't the next/previous feature just built in?

I saw you had an addon for https://gist.github.com/trepmal/5073756.

This works perfectly.

But I was curious .. why this isn’t simply merged into the plugin, since I’m sure that most people would want the option in the single plugin (instead of having to run two)?

And .. if you were update the addon at https://gist.github.com/trepmal/5073756 .. I’m not sure I’d be notified (in the same way .. as if you updated the plugin in the WP repository).

Can you merge the two?
