Lightbox works partly

    I have had this issue with the lightbox plugin for some time regardless of WP version (2.0.4-2.0.7 and now 2.1).

    When I view the blogs default page and click on an image to view, it opens the image in the browser, however when I view the actual post the lightbox plugin works.

    For example, look here: https://astronomyonline.org/aoblog/?p=214

    The plugin works.

    But if you go back three pages on the blog (https://astronomyonline.org/aoblog/ – use the older link at the top of the page to navigate back) and click the image on that post, it does not work.

    I have tried a variety of themes and the problem remains – even with the default theme. I even downloaded the latest version with no luck. And the issue is apparent on both IE and Firefox.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi sofsoldier, i’m with the same problem.
    What i fount is that wordpress is posting the images urs using single cotes like <img src='https://xxxxx/file.jpg'> while the older versions uses double cotes like <img src="https://xxxxx/file.jpg">; and the lightbox searches for images and double cotes…

    i have a post here asking for help with this issue, for now what you can do is manualy edit the post and change de cotes, after this the plugin wil works fine.

    The Lightbox plugin has not been updated for use with 2.1. Try checking with the author about this.

    Edit – oops download Lightbox v.63.

    It didn’t matter which version. This problem was with WP version 2.01, 2.0.4, 2.0.5, 2.0.6, 2.0.7 and 2.1.

    My image URL’s already have double quotes.

    I also tried the latest version 2.02 from the authors site.

    I am having the same issue, lightbox does not work on the main blog page but DOES work on the single post page. It also works great with ANIGA gallery plugin, by the way.

    I would like the lightbox effect on the main page as well as a single post view. Any ideas?
