• Hello all, thanks for reading; I hope I have posted this in the right place.

It’s not so much help with a specific issue that I’m after, more general guidance.

    I’ve started up a www.remarpro.com site here:
    https://www.everyday-mindfulness.org

The idea started off as a Twitter account (@mindfuleveryday). The account was doing tremendously well, so I started up a blog to go with it on WordPress. A friend of mine did the theme design, and I have been putting regular blogs on there with people talking about mindfulness (a life-changing thing by the way, but not what I’m here to talk about).

The thing that I want to talk about is images within the blogs. Right at the start of this, a friend found me some royalty-free images that fit what I was looking for and added them to my media library. I have been using these fine up to now, adding a bit of colour to the blogs as I go along.

Mindfulness is really taking off though, and the blogs are coming in for me to use thick and fast; I’m starting to get tired of using the same old images. I could look for some new images I suppose but adding more will only take up more space on my server, and if I delete the old ones, then the older blogs won’t work any more.

Somebody said to me that you could ‘hotlink’ to images on an external website like Flickr which would be ideal but I tried playing around with this on PhotoBucket and I couldn’t see a way to resize the images, the posts didn’t look good. I haven’t got a lot of time in my life right now, maybe an hour or two a night to get the blogs up and looking nice, and I’ve just been feeling my way with WordPress from the beginning. Making the blogs look pretty is not something that comes naturally to me, and I want to learn how to do this, as the readership is getting very high now.

I just want to use some pretty, varied photos with my blog. I’ve no problem with giving credit to artists etc. This is a not-for-profit thing so I can’t afford to pay for any images. Can anybody offer me any advice, or point to any books or articles that would help me with this?
