Trying to get a button into the post preview on the homepage

  • I want to have a button that links to an external site in the post previews on the homepage of my site. There is an example here, if you look at the Buy Now and Download buttons on the first two posts:

    Does anyone know how to do this and could help me? I tried just adding a button into the post in the beginning of the post but it does not show up at all in the post preview. I would greatly appreciate any help!
