feature image not showing on site

  • I am just starting on wordpress and I am new to everything. I set a featured image on my first 2 posts. On the edit page I can see the image however it does not show on the website itself. Why is this happening? I am using the theme: sporty.

    My first thought is that the theme doesn’t support the featured image, but to be sure I would need your website URL to be able to look at it specifically. Also, where did you got the sporty theme?

    where would you expect to see the featured images in your site?

    @karissa https://www.partyonpoydras.com is the URL and I just searched sport themes and it was like the only one that showed up. The theme is by Ossie if that helps.

    @alchymyth Okay I posted it there. Waiting for replies. And I want the image to be to the left of the post title and I also want the first few words of the post to be shown below the title but still next to the image (I am planning on giving a link to the image and title that will send readers to the full post). Also, I want the image to be shown wherever the post will be shown. So, if it’s on the home page, in one of my categories for my menu, or on any other page, I want that image shown with it.
