    Hello!

I’m using you fantastic plugin to iframe my smf forum inside my wordpress site. My wordpress site’s height is 1500px. I like to set the iframe’s height to adjust according to the forum content. At the moment, the forum content stretches the site’s height to over 3000px. This is not the problem. The problem is that because all of the content in iframe is shows at once, I can’t mouse scroll (keeping mouse wheel pressed) inside the iframe because it supposedly shows everything. If I want to mouse scroll, I have to place the mouse cursor over the sidebar. So my question is that can I link the iframe scrolling to the parent window?

Mouse wheel pressed? Have you set scroll = no for the iframe? Then you should be able to scroll even when you are over the iframe.

    Hi!

Yes, I have the scrolling set as NO. Here is a picture of my settings: https://i.imgur.com/3Key5kF.jpg Do you find something wrong with settings in general that could be causing this?

do you have this online? And which browser do you use.
Because if you don’t have a scrollbar in the iframe the parent one should be scrolled.

Yes, I have the site online at https://aseveljet.net/?page_id=14 . You can inspect the iframe element and set the iframe height to 2080px for example to simulate the situation that you would be logged in. I’m using Firefox but of course the site has to be cross-browser compatible.

Than I don’t understand your problem. If I scroll on this page this works fine.

Yes, you can scroll but you can’t pan scroll (if that is the right term). That I meant by saying pressing your mouse wheel. You can only pan scroll when the mouse is over the sidebar, not over the iframe.

I don’t even know what this pan scroll is? It this this thing only supported by a microsoft mouse?

Are you using Mac? I wonder how anyone using Windows hasn’t heard about the ability to click the middle mouse button (the wheel) and then just by moving your mouse to scroll the page. It isn’t mouse related, it’s universal. Here is an image of the pan scroll icon I get even on this site when I middle click the white space on this page: https://i.imgur.com/a1XROd4.png

No. If I click on the wheel nothing happens…

And even if you keep the mouse wheel pressed and drag the mouse up and down, this site doesn’t move up and down?

    no

Very weird. I’ve used like 20 different mouses in my lifetime and this feature has always been present. I by now thought it was a Windows feature. Then you propably can’t help me because you can’t replicate the issues.

Not really – seem my mouse needs a new driver….

Noticed that this is an option at least in Firefox. Do you have this enabled “tools-options-advanced-use autoscroll”?

Where? About:config does not have this option.
