Display Text Over Images When Hovering

  • In the footer I have four images that link to pages. I would like to hover over them and have a title display in the center of the image (vertically and horizontally in red or white font) with a black background. I have tried several codes but none of them do exactly what I want. Is there a code using only CSS and HTML I can copy and paste into my site?
