Trailing slash redirect issue
-
When I check my sitemaps for a particular site in Google Webmaster Tools I get a message that each page is being redirected, from a page URL without a trailing slash to a page URL with a trailing slash. Any idea what could be causing this? One particular page, although it is a top-level page, is listed on a separate sitemap from all of the others (sitemap-pt-page-2013-04.xml), and although its formatting is identical to the others, I get this warning in relation to that page: “Some URLs listed in this Sitemap have a high response time. This may indicate a problem with your server or with the content of the page.” Nothing on that page should be any slower than any of the others, and a re-crawl produces the same result. Any ideas or assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!
