We no longer provide support on this forum. The primary purpose of this forum is for people in the WordPress community who are having trouble with WP?Migrate?DB to help each other. Response time can range from a few days to a few weeks and will likely be from a non-developer.

If you want a timely response via email from a developer who works on this plugin, upgrade?to?WP?Migrate?DB?Pro and send us an email.

If you’ve found a bug, please submit an issue at Github.

You may also find our documentation and videos helpful.

We will check this forum every couple of weeks to see if someone has posted a bug report here instead of at Github. We will not be digging into people’s support requests on here.

  • Are you telling us that the free version does not work? Because it does not work for me. And your references to the ‘help’ tab or the videos apply only to the pro version of the plugin.

you need to manually edit the wp-config.php file in the target site to make sure that the table prefix matches the prefix shown in the mysql database in the target db. Then it works.

The free version works just fine. Matching the table prefix in the new environment’s wp-config is common sense.

The plugin simply duplicates the database, safely runs a Search/Replace over all data, and exports everything as a file. Ensuring that the new target is compatible with the exported data is your responsibility.
