404 error when posting topic with more than 3 links

  • I have this issue where users get a 404 Page not Found when they try to post a topic or reply with more than 3 links in it. I’ve checked the PHPBB3 settings but they allow unlimited links in a post. I’ve tried setting it to a set amount like 20 but that changes nothing.

    I don’t understand why the user gets sent to the 404 page rather than PHPBB3 giving an error message.

    Anybody have any ideas as to why this might be happening?

  • Hello, try to disable the integration at all and check if the issue is still present. If present, it is unlikely a wpu issue.
    Anyway, go to error.log of your website and check errors related to the posting of topic or an answer with 3 links.

    One thing to note: The topics and replies are made in PHPBB3 directly, not through WP.
