Latest post on Home and rest on archive page

    Hi,

    First off, love the theme. Thanks for doing great work!

    I would like for only my latest post to show (showing the full post) on my home page, and then to have the rest of my posts (in the abbreviated format) on another page.

    So basically to have a standard blog page but for the newest post to be taken off of it and put on the front page.

    Ex. posts 1, 2, 3, ,4 and 5.
    Home page shows 1
    Archive page shows blurbs of 2,3,4, and 5.

    This is possible, but would require a lot of customization and additional code. What if instead, you used a static page for the homepage, and included a link to the blog in the nav bar? Would that still accomplish your goals?

    You can set the homepage to a static page in the Settings > Reading menu.

    That is the set up I have at the moment, but I am not very happy with it. I am going through the htmldog.com Html and CSS tutorials so maybe I’ll be able to figure it out when I finish.
