Links- and post categories joined?

  • Why are link categories merged with post categories in 2.1? I’m sure a change like this was thoroughly discussed somewhere, but maybe someone could sum it up here?

    I have the same issues here.I have some categories for links on the right sidebar and they keep showing on the left side in the general categories.
    There is any solution for this?
    We said v2.1 to be the best of the rest right?
    No one had this issue in mind?
