• I cant figure this out. My blog was coming up at the top of googles search results for a number of searchs and now it no longer appears on Google.

Its like goolge removed my blog from their search results.

Another thing, Golden feed generator appears on search results with my content instead of my own blog. It seems they took my place on Goolge.

What can I do? This is crazy. One day I was getting hits for my unique content the next day my blog all but disappeared. And I worked so hard to produce original good content.

  • And your blog would be? Right now all we can do is guess.

The name of my blog is irrelevant. The point is that I dont come up on google. Does this have anything to do with pinging? Maybe the fact that goldenfeed is displaying my contents google decided to remove my blog because of the duplicate content filter or something.

Actually it is relevant which is why I asked. We can see if there’s maybe something telling Google that you don’t want to be indexed. We can check to see the results in the other datacenters to see if maybe it was just a glitch. We can see your content and see if maybe Google called you a spammer for some reason. We can check Google’s PR rating to see if you got delisted. We can check for a number of things.

Right now, all we can do is guess which is what you’re doing. If you want help, we need the information to help you.

How do you check Googles PR rating? I heard something about a PR update being performed causing people to be de-listed.

Ill give you the generic answer (you might not like this)

If your blog doesnt show up in google and youve not made any changes than thats pretty much between you and google, and not a wordpress issue (you did post this to the WordPress support section, NOT the misc. area).

    1. pinging has absolutely no affect on google.

    2. Golden feed generator ( i dont know what that is, talk to whoever wrote it)

How old is your blog? If it’s relatively new then it could easily appear and then disappear in Google. They often revert to older versions of their index.

But there could be many reasons why your blog isn’t appearing, and as drmike says it would be handy to be able to take a look.
