    Also now getting this error…

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/frauvwco/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpmovielibrary/admin/dashboard/views/dashboard-stats-widget.php on line 11

I have exactly the same problem. I think it’s about Custom Post Types but i cannot be useful about that.

    Hi there,

The error in stats widget is weird, I don’t see what can be throwing a WP_Error here, I’ll be investigating.

As for the page issue, I can’t figure out what’s wrong from the frontend; would you mind setting me a temp admin account so that I can see if I can find out what’s missing?

Note: currently movies can’t really be displayed anywhere indirectly; they can be listed as other standard post types, but no included in orther pages’ or posts’ content. I’m planning to release an update soon with a bunch of shortcodes to extend the plugin’s possibilities.

So how are we supposed to display the movies ?

As per the Custom Post Type used they’re showing on https://yourdomain.com/movies/ and individualy on https://yourdomain.com/movies/movie-title.

I saw you already have an existing “Movies” page on your site that will mess things up, you should rename or remove it to get this working. Or, you can change the permalink in the plugin Settings, see the “Movies URL Rewrite” setting in the “Movies” tab ??

No i’m sorry it doesn’t work even when i change the permalink.

Could you provide a link to the website?

For instance https://bloomingmachine.net/films/seven/ redirect to the homepage.

Erh, the plugin doesn’t even seem to be active, every files in the plugin return a 404, like https://bloomingmachine.net/WordPress3/wp-content/plugins/wpmovielibrary/readme.txt

Ok but i did activate it so i really don’t get what’s happening.

We just sorted out Ravavamouna’s issue: .htaccess misconfiguration leading to different PHP version on frontend and dashboard. This made the plugin work just fine on the admin side, but not loading at all on the public side.

Please how did you resolve that issue in the .htaccess? i am facing the same problem and am on local host. please help. thanks

I think Ravavamouna is using OVH, adding SetEnv PHP_VER 5_4 to .htaccess does the trick, but if you’re on a local host you may as well try using the latest PHP version available for your environment.

Yes i’m using OVH and i did exactly what Charlie said. My issue is resolved now.

worked like a charm . there’s two more issues. one, the poster of the movie doesnt show. i am not importing from anywhere. i entered them manually and uploaded the images. it shows on the admin but not the frontpage. and i was thinking the movie metadata will give you an option to add the poster. but it isnt there?
    2. When you click on the genre it sends you back to homepage ,which i am suggesting it’s 404 but since i dont have it created it goes to frontpage. how do we resolve that too.

i am testing this thing on a theme i have developed. could that be the problem?

this is a great APP nonetheless! thanks man!
