Import only importing posts up to the end of the year?

  • Hello!

    I’ve been working with ways to migrate posts from my current setup to the new setup, and for the most part, importer DOES work (when I export all and use the ‘download file attachments’ feature).

    HOWEVER, I’ve noticed that the importer has only imported files up until the end of 2013. Perfectly. I mean. It’s given me the images, the post content, the tags, the categories, this, that, and the other.

    But it stops at 2013. I’ve even checked the XML file, and publish dates (I’m assuming <pubDate>) run well into 2014 for that.

    I’m thinking that maybe a plugin that messes with custom post statuses could be the culprit, but I want to know: has anyone ever experienced something like this? It just seems real quirky for everything to import up to the end of 2013 and then just STOP.

    This is for published posts.
    Anywho, any help troubleshooting would be great!

    UPDATE: I found the following in the bottom of the file:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/pixelkin/pixelkin.org/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 414

    this is what’s appearing at the bottom of the file. is there a way to modify the execution time to run as long as it needs?

    I actually think I may have figured it out. This has to do with PHP’s configuration on my server.
