Firstly, a portion of your css stylesheets are not loading correctly. This is why you’re seeing your content, but no styling. Right click on your site in your browser, and select “View page source”. You can then see your stylesheets listed. Click them to see if they load or not. Next step is to find out why.

If you’re not feeling confident, I’d advise rolling back to a previous version of your theme.

I’ve tried clicking on each stylesheet, and they didn’t load. I pasted the URL, and it led to the same “Page not found” page. So… what’s the next step?

Instal a previous version of your theme that did work with your site if you’re not comfortable messing with files.

I’ve looked, but I can’t find a previous version of the theme, the only one out there is the update.

How complicated would it be to mess with the files myself? I’ve never tried anything like it, but I’m running out of options.

Or should I go to my Web host (HostGator) with this? Would they be able to help?

They may be able to help. I don’t know.
The best thing to do to restore access to your site is to enter wp-content > themes via FTP. Rename your current (broken) theme to themename.old. You should now have access to the Dashboard. Take any issues with the theme up with the developer.

I renamed the theme folder as you said, but I don’t have access to the dashboard. I can get to the https://comicbookmoviedatabase.com/wp-login.php page, but when I login, it goes to a blank page. Same URL.

Try uploading a fresh copy of wordpress overwriting only wp-admin and wp-includes (not wp-content).

Do you have other themes in wp-content/themes? If not, this could be why renaming your current theme didn’t help.
