Strange error on multi site installation

    Hi,

    I’m trying to track down a strange issue on a multi site installation: it seems that on one specific date a bunch of users incorrectly got subscribed to some posts. I can’t track any comment activity by them and they confirm that they do not even follow the sites in question (but they are active on other sites on our platform).

    One thing I *did* notice is that I activated the plugin on the affected sites that day. Could it have been an incorrect attempt at importing old comments?

    I’ve reviewed the code and can’t think of a reason why this could have happened. Any ideas?

    Something that change lately was a feature to import comments from a plugin named Comment Reply Notification.

    Do you have this plugin installed ?

    No I don’t think we’ve used that. I’m not experiencing any new incorrect subscriptions anymore, so I’m convinced it was a glitch during the install. No big issue for us, I’ve cleaned up the incorrect notifications and now we’re good.
