Subcategories

  • Hi. I’m having some difficulty with getting subcategories to behave the way I want.

    I have a category called “Magazines” and several subcategories called “17th Century”, “18th Century” etc.

    However initially, when I looked at the front page category list I saw all the subcategories as well. I managed to fix that, but when I click on the Magazines category I would like to see the subcategories list first, and only see the products for any subcategory when I click on the subcategory name.

    This seems to require a hack rather than a change in configuration settings, but I’m not sure. Has anybody any advice on this? If it’s a payable hack I’m happy to pay for it…

    Could you give a little more info on your site, like the theme you are using, version and a link to your site?
